  • POSITION OVERVIEW

    Reports to the Chief Program Officer. The Senior Director of Clinical Supports is responsible for the overall planning, management, and coordination of clinical services and supports across the CIS of Michigan Network. This position will collaborate with the Chief Program Officer in building CISM’s Clinical Supports Department. The Senior Director of Clinical Supports will integrate a knowledge of CISM’s model with a knowledge of social work best practices to design systems, support structures, and pieces of training that support model implementation.

    This position will provide direct supervision of Social Work interns working across CISM program sites. This position will oversee case management conferencing by providing general coaching for program staff conducting case management support. This position will also ensure all staff have a general understanding of confidentiality, including its limits and responsibilities associated with mandated reporting.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Master’s degree in Social Work required

    Licensed as LLMSW/LMSW

    3-5 years work experience post-master’s degree

    Minimum of 3 years of experience working with children and adolescents required

    Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment on significant matters directly related to the agency’s model, programs, staff, and children/students who are served by CISM

    Experience supervising social work students at the BSW or MSW level

    Experience delivering trainings in: SEL, Annual Mandated Reporting through a restorative and anti-racist lens, Mindfulness, and Mental Health First Aid

    Knowledge of mental health supports for Michigan children and youth

    Ability to provide brief counseling in a virtual setting

    Administrative skills to supervise and support a group of developing professionals with varying personalities, diverse backgrounds, and different job responsibilities

    Ability to collaborate across teams remotely

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Provide ongoing training for CISM staff and Social Work students to better understand trauma-informed practices, secondary trauma, SEL interventions, and effective case management

    Establish clinical services within CISM to support the CIS model across program sites

    Coordinate/assist with referrals for counseling and social services support for identified CISM students receiving case management services when applicable

    Assess community, campus, and organization needs

    Recommend trainings and educational events to address needs and bring awareness to behavioral and mental health trends

    Assist in the development and delivery of mental health training topics for CISM staff with an emphasis on providing services that are culturally and linguistically sensitive and appropriate

    Coordinate trauma-informed practice supports and serve as the agency lead for Mental Health First Aid training

    Collaborate with the Advancement team in support of proposals to sustain and/or expand programs funding

    Communicate on a regular basis with Chief Program Officer, Regional Directors, Program Directors, and contractors to ensure compliant, seamless delivery of services

    Ensure on-time reporting to funders and MDHHS as appropriate

    Monitor quality assurance on a monthly basis

  • POSITION OVERVIEW:

    Reports to the Senior Regional Director. The Program Director is responsible for the data oversight and supporting the training of Student Support Coordinators, alongside the CISM Learning & Equity Supports. The Program Director will ensure fidelity to the CIS Model and quality delivery of services. This person will work with the Programs Team to ensure all Student Support Coordinators are providing consistent programming, utilizing best practices, and updating data according to CIS National’s Total Quality System (TQS) standards. The Program Director will directly supervise and support a team of Student Support Coordinators.

    Initial Implementation Role (since this position oversees new districts):

    In April-June 2024, the Far Westside Program Director will lead the process of conducting Needs Assessments (NA) and Support Plans (SP) for schools that are new to the CIS partnership (4 schools in Benton Harbor). CIS of Michigan will support with making initial connections to district staff and principals, and the Program Director will be responsible for building and strengthening those relationships to aid in the NA and SP process.

    The NA and SP process will involve regular travel to these school sites and communication with school- and district- level staff, students, families, and community members. It will also involve a detailed writeup of findings into the NA and SP templates, and entry into our proprietary data management system. Strong organization, communication, and writing skills are required. The Program Director will receive training in how to conduct a CIS Needs Assessment and Support Plan. These Needs Assessments and Support Plans are due in June 2024.

    Additionally, the Program Director will work with a Student Support Coordinator in our new partner schools to design and implement Tier I supports April-September 2024.

    Beyond September 2024, the Program Director will directly supervise Student Support Coordinators in their usual capacity as described above.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    Highly recommended: Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience

    Highly recommended: Minimum of 3-5 years experience in social service programs

    Experience working in education programs or school settings

    Experience working with children and adolescents and knowledge of trends and standards affecting the CIS program

    ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Directly supervise and coach Student Support Coordinators (SSCs) in Benton Harbor Area Schools and National Heritage Academies (Grand Rapids and Muskegon)

    Monitor program activities on a regular basis; address gaps and highlight effective practices

    Evaluate staff twice a year using CISM’s evaluation structure

    Engage in Collaborative Communication Plans and Performance Improvement Plans with staff as necessary

    Provide timely updates, feedback, and expectations to staff

    PROGRAM STAFFING AND TRAINING:

    Support the recruitment, interviewing, and placement of well-qualified SSCs at school sites

    Collaborate with the Learning & Equity Supports Team to ensure thorough and timely training and onboarding of staff (including in CISDM, CISU, and other required materials)

    Identify and support professional development needs for continued learning of program staff

    DISTRICT RELATIONSHIPS:

    Build and maintain relationships with district and school leadership to ensure consistency and point of contact

    Communicate regularly with principals to build relationships, provide updates, and seek feedback

    Along with the Director of Partnerships and Volunteers, build and maintain relationships with local community partners for programming purposes

    IMPLEMENTATION:

    Support the implementation of programming in new schools, which includes completion of Needs Assessments and Support Plans, as described above

    Provide initial Tier I supports to schools and students, as described above

    Collaborate with the Senior Regional Director to monitor and spend funds available for program implementation

    DATA/REPORTING:

    Run and review data reports and provide feedback to SSCs to ensure that all TQS reporting standards are met

    Collaborate seamlessly with the team’s Data Manager to support SSCs and ensure adherence to data best practices

    Contribute to reports for the Board of CIS of Michigan and other funders

    MONITORING/FILE RETENTION:

    Ensure all data and files are monitored, filed, and tracked appropriately

  • POSITION OVERVIEW:

    Reporting to the Senior Director of Human Resources and Administration, the Hiring and Recruiting Coordinator oversees the key operating functions of recruiting and onboarding candidates to suitable positions. This position will serve as the expert in the functions of hiring and recruiting and handle the administration of these functions in the day-to-day operations of CIS of Michigan. The Hiring and Onboarding Coordinator will have both administrative and strategic responsibilities while overseeing and executing a comprehensive plan to attract the best and most capable talent to our Organization. This position includes work in recruitment and retention, onboarding, employee training, compensation and benefits, policy development and implementation, compliance reporting and team member relations, as needed.

  • POSITION OVERVIEW: Reports to the Chief Advancement Officer. The Partnerships Manager, Dearborn, is a member of the Advancement Team, and is responsible for the overall planning and supervision of Tier I events and partnership development that occur throughout CIS of Michigan schools in Dearborn. The role will work directly with the Program Director(s) of CIS of Michigan schools in Dearborn to determine appropriate partners, volunteers, and events that align with the school support plans. The Partnerships Manager, Dearborn, will be responsible for the onboarding, training, and recruitment of volunteers who will work directly in CIS of Michigan schools in Dearborn. The Partnerships Manager, Dearborn, will create a positive and rewarding experience for volunteers while effectively utilizing their talents and energy to advance the CIS of Michigan's mission and goals.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Recommended: Minimum of 1-2 years partnership development or volunteer recruitment experience

    Recommended: Minimum of 1-2 years experience in social service programs, education programs, or schools settings

    Recommended: Minimum of 1-2 years experience in program budgeting

    Experience working in Google Sheets and other forms of donor/volunteer tracking systems (i.e., Little Green Light)

    Strong knowledge of the CIS Integrated Students Support (ISS) model and how partnerships are crucial to its success

    Experience working with children and adolescents and knowledge of trends and standards affecting the CIS program

    Commitment to educational equity

    Adaptability as the landscape of CIS of Michigan continues to change and expand

    Excellent written and oral communication skills and strong interpersonal skills

    Strong relationship-building and networking skills

    Strong connection to the Dearborn community

    Arabic speaker preferred

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Relationship Building

    Collaborate with CIS of Michigan Program Director(s), Program Manager, and Student Support Coordinators for Dearborn schools on an ongoing basis

    Learn the needs, supports, and specific expectations as they relate to Dearborn schools across every CIS of Michigan team in alignment with the school support plans

    Support CIS of Michigan Student Support Coordinators with community outreach in Dearborn and leveraging resources including community partners and volunteers for Tier I, II, and III Integrated Student Supports in Dearborn schools

    Develop external relationships with corporate partners with interest in Dearborn schools as part of their corporate social responsibility plans and connect them where appropriate

    Collaborate with CIS of Michigan teams to develop and implement programs and initiatives that address the needs of Dearborn schools. This may include designing curriculum, organizing events, workshops, and outreach activities.

    Partnerships

    Identify, cultivate, and maintain partnerships with other nonprofit organizations, educational institutions, government agencies, corporations, and community organizations that align with CIS of Michigan’s mission and goals related to Dearborn schools

    Train partners of CIS of Michigan on the ISS model and how collaboration impacts all parties

    Act as a liaison between partners and CIS of Michigan Program Director(s), Program Manager, and Student Support Coordinators for Dearborn schools

    Actively engage in networking opportunities to build relationships and collaborations that can enhance CIS of Michigan’s reach and impact in promoting Dearborn schools

    Communicate regularly with partners, stakeholders, and the CIS of Michigan Leadership Team to provide updates on partnership activities, outcomes, financial performance, and overall impact in Dearborn schools. Prepare reports and presentations as needed.

    Volunteer Recruitment and Engagement:

    Develop and implement strategies for recruiting volunteers to support CIS of Michigan’s mission and Dearborn schools, based on the needs outlined in school needs assessments and school support plans. This may involve creating recruitment materials, attending community events, and utilizing online platforms.

    Work with the CIS of Michigan Office Manager to ensure all volunteers have passed background checks and other safety requirements

    Support the matching of volunteers with appropriate positions based on their skills, interests, and availability

    Foster a sense of community and belonging among volunteers through events, newsletters, and social media

    Develop and implement recognition programs to acknowledge volunteers for their contributions and milestones. Express appreciation through thank-you letters, awards, events, or other forms of recognition.

    Collaborate with staff and stakeholders to develop new volunteer programs or enhance existing ones in response to CIS of Michigan's needs

    Serve as a liaison between volunteers and CIS of Michigan Student Support Coordinators for Dearborn schools

    Sustainability & Fund Development

    Monitor partnership progress, collect data, and evaluate outcomes to ensure accountability and continuous improvement.

    Manage the budget for volunteer programs, including expenses related to recruitment, training, recognition, and supervision. Seek funding opportunities and partnerships to support volunteer initiatives.

    Collaborate with other departments, community organizations, and stakeholders to leverage resources and maximize the impact of volunteer efforts. Cultivate partnerships that support volunteer recruitment, training, and placement initiatives.

    Administrative & Special Projects

    Understand and adhere to the CIS of Michigan and School District confidentiality policy and all standards of conduct as described in the policy manual.

    Support annual fundraising event(s) as necessary and in accordance with the needs of the Advancement Team

    WORKING CONDITIONS:

    Frequent travel to Dearborn

    Must have access to reliable transportation

    All Administrative positions are year-long

    SALARY AND BENEFITS:

    Mileage reimbursement at current IRS rate
